Where ever Steve “Lodgie” Lodge is chaos seems to follow. Conveniently nicknamed ‘Chaos’ he is the first team captain and last year led the 1st XI to the Palace Shield Division One championship. Chaos is one of the Yorkshire contingent down at the riverside originally hailing from Keighley 11 miles northwest of Bradford. When not working at his Preston based bookies (Taylormade), Lodge bowls left arm medium pace and bats anywhere in the 11 but usually the lower middle order, hitting his first senior half century this year (58) when he opened against Great Eccelston at the expense of injured ‘Sesh Prince’ Stuart Pilkington. Lodgie is committed to the BAC cause as are his parents Eileen and Tony who contribute massively to the club on a daily basis.
